An ensemble from Tredegar Band will be featured on the BBC Radio 3 flagship Arts programme, ‘In Tune’ on Bank Holiday Monday – live from the famous Hay Festival.

Presenter Sean Rafferty will feature the ensemble in interviews and performance alongside Tracy Chevalier, author of ‘Girl With a Pearl Earring’, the illustrator and Children’s Laureate, Chris Riddell, Welsh storyteller Daniel Morden, violinist Rachel Podge and the folk group Faustus.

MD Ian Porthouse said: “This is another indication of the artistic respect the band has gained over recent years with the innovative projects we’ve been involved with.

The Hay Festival is a renowned worldwide so to be asked to be part of Radio 3’s coverage will provide us with a great spotlight.”

The broadcast is part of part of Radio 3’s week-long residency at Hay Festival, with the programme running from 6.00pm – 7.30pm, simultaneously streamed on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Radio 3 website. It will be available for catch-up listening on BBC iPlayer for 30 days following the broadcast.
